From an idea to a live conversation

How to add an AI avatar to your website.

Define the visitor’s task, prepare the content, choose the face and voice, then test a private preview before launch. The installation is one part of the work; the answers, boundaries and browser experience matter just as much.

How does SoulLite add an avatar?

SoulLite is a done-for-you service. You provide the material and choose the avatar options; the studio prepares the model, voice and conversation design, gives you a private preview and deploys to your domain with SSL after approval. A typical build takes about one week once the required material is available. The installation details depend on your website and agreed scope.

1. Give the avatar one clear job

Start with a task you can describe in a sentence: explain our service to new enquiries, introduce a consultant’s approach, or answer questions about preparing for a first meeting. An avatar asked to cover everything is harder to evaluate and maintain than one with a clear purpose.

Write the intended next step, too. That might be a contact page, an existing booking link or a request for contact details. Do not assume a link means the assistant can create appointments or write to your business systems.

2. Gather the material it should use

Resolve contradictions before building the conversation. If an old page and a new PDF list different prices, choose the authoritative version. Identify who will tell the studio when those facts change.

3. Choose a library avatar or your own likeness

A library face and voice are included in the starting SoulLite setup. A custom face and cloned voice are separate options. Use the live avatar demos to judge the style and listen to actual conversation, then read about creating your AI clone if personal likeness matters.

For custom work, discuss reference photos, existing model files and voice material with the studio before sending them. Use material you own or have permission to use. Review pronunciation, tone and pacing alongside the visual result.

4. Review the private preview like a visitor

Use questions the avatar has not been rehearsed on. Ask a follow-up, correct an assumption, change the subject and try something outside its scope. Check whether it acknowledges uncertainty and points to an appropriate contact option.

Listen for voice clarity and watch the mouth and facial movement. Try text input without granting microphone access. A polished still image is not enough to approve a conversational experience.

5. Check the website and browser behavior

Pre-launch review checklist
CheckWhat to verify
Normal website accessThe page, links and contact options remain usable while the avatar loads.
SoundStarting the conversation enables playback through a clear visitor action.
Text and microphoneTyping works without microphone permission; voice permission is requested when needed.
Desktop and mobileFraming, controls, scrolling and performance work on the browsers your visitors use.
Knowledge boundariesCommon questions are answered correctly; unsupported requests have a sensible fallback.
Next stepsContact and booking links work, and any agreed lead-capture destination is correct.
Usage and scopeIncluded minutes, extra usage and maintenance expectations are understood.

6. Approve, launch and keep the material current

With SoulLite, half of the setup payment starts the work and the remaining half is due after you approve the private preview. Deployment to your domain follows approval. Review the published plans for recurring costs, included minutes and the content-refresh options.

After launch, check the questions people actually ask and the paths they take next. Correct unclear explanations and outdated facts. A new offer or changed process should trigger a content review, not wait until a visitor notices the old answer.

Does SoulLite work as a self-serve plugin?

No. The published offering is a studio-led build and deployment service, not a plugin with a dashboard you install yourself. Share your current website platform and access constraints with the studio so the deployment approach can be agreed before work begins.

If you are still choosing the format, compare AI avatars and chatbots. If the format is settled, look at example visitor journeys and gather the source material for yours.
